Quiet Night
Title: Quiet Night
Author: Mary Rose
Rating: G
Summary: Beka and Dylan spend a moment together on the beach.
Disclaimer: I don't own these characters which is probably good because I'd probably put them together and KS be damned.
Author's Notes: You know I couldn't resist this one. My shipper tendencies went into over drive. However, there is no angst in this story for once. I am capable of doing happy fics. I have done them before. ;-) So, I'm following Anna's instructions on this. Hope you like.
She turned and the sun gleamed from her swept up hair. She looked so radiant, so vibrant. He forgot to breathe.
She noticed him staring at her and laughed. "What are you staring at?"
He walked down the beach towards her. "You. My beautiful wife. You know in any light you're just perfect but in this light..."
Beka laughed again. "Why Dylan Hunt, I do believe you're just flattering me. After all, how could I be perfect when I'm so fat?"
He put his hands on her swelling belly. "Because a pregnant woman is the most beautiful sight in the world. Especially when said pregnant woman is my wife and the said child she's carrying is mine." He bent down and kissed her stomach through the maternity bathing suit.
Beka laughed, yet again. "Keep those compliments coming. I can't get enough."
Now it was Dylan's turn to laugh. They settled down on the blanket. Beka leaned back against Dylan for support as they watched the sun go down. "We probably should get back to the hotel," she finally said.
"Yeah. What do you want to do when we get there? Go out to eat? Some more sightseeing?"
"Maybe tommorow. We had a busy day today. I think ordering room service and spending a quiet night in our room sounds good."
"Sounds like a plan to me. O.K. Let's go for it." He helped her up, rolled up the blanket and together they strolled hand in hand down the beach towards the hotel.
