Lost Goddess
Title: Lost Goddess
Author: Calliope
Rating: PG
Summary: Harper's thoughts about Trance and her 'transformation', following the much-written about Ouroboros.
Disclaimer: I own nothing and nobody. I'm just listening in on their thoughts for a moment. Or, to be specific, Harper's thoughts. I don't own anything.
Author's Note: This was written about a week after Ouroboros. It isn't very structured- I tend to think of it more as the rambling direction of the mind, instead of a poem- and is based on thoughts of Harper's, around that time.
Trance is changed-
Once, sweet and innocent . . .
Or innocent-seeming.
And once purple. Yellow now . . . no. Goddamn golden,
My glitter princess turned golden goddess.
A different person. Not my friend. Damn it.
A stranger with her eyes, with her smile.
Trance.
And I don't know what to do.
My friend is gone now, I can only mourn her.
Is there something of my friend
In the icon before me?
She wants us to remain friends.
She says I'm her best friend,
But I don't know her anymore;
I don't know this golden deity. She must be lost,
For she can't belong here.
This place is for Trance. My Trance.
But then, sometimes the goddess smiles,
And it's the smile of them both.
And I know my purple pixie is still there.
She's not the same-
No, she can never be the same.
But still, she's Trance.
