Oh great.
He was sick.
Again.
He hated being sick. The sniffling, the sneezing, the coughing, the sore throat, whatever, he just hated it. But it's not like it doesn't happen. Because of his weak immune system it happens all the time. You would think he gets used to it now but he just hated it.
And on top of that he still had to fix the ship. Andromeda had somehow picked up a small virus. Nothing big but it was wrecking havoc on the water temperature for the showers. And Tyr had threatened to plaster him all over the front of Andromeda's view screen if he didn't fix it today. Today of all days. So, here he was in engineering, coughing his lungs up.
"Okay, you stupid, aggravating little virus. Let's find, maim, kill, and destroy you," Harper said as he put the plug into his data port. He winced slightly as he entered Andromeda's mainframe.
"Andromeda, bring up section A 45 to B7. Let's see if we can narrow down on it's location." As they sections came up he saw a small flickering in A 71 heading to A73.
"Okay, shut down A 75 when I say so. Nothing goes in or out of that section. And....now!" Harper watched as the grid turned red, the virus flickering, caught in it.
"Okay, there's nothing important in that section, just the lights in crew quarters. Rom Doll, wipe everything off that section and I'll reload the program when you're done." As Andromeda erased it all, the lights in Dylans quarters went out.

"Andromeda what's happening here?" Dylan asked.
"Harper is erasing the virus from my system." The Andromeda avatar said.
"Okay, how long before the lights come back on?" He said feeling his way through the dark.
"About 10 minutes at most, Dylan."
"Good." He said sitting down.

In engineering, Harper was just finishing the download as the light came back on. He reached behind his ear and pulled the jack out of his data port.
"Finally. And now, for some much needed medication." He stood up when the room started spinning. He grabbed at the wall when everything went black.

He finally awoke with Beka hovering over him.
"Did anybody get the number off the ship that run over me?" he asked.
"Nope," Beka said "they got away and left you with the flu."
"Oh," Harper replied. "Did I get the virus out?"
"Yes, and all things are running smoothly. You get a few days rest." Dylan said from the door. "But now that I see you're okay, I'm gonna return to Command. Hope you get better Harper." He said walking out.
"Man, I feel miserable." Harper coughed.
"Well, I brought something to cheer you up." Beka walked over to the table.
"And what would that be?" Harper asked. He hoped it was morphine.
"Cocoa." She said walking back with a mug.
"Cocoa?"
"Cocoa. Yeah, you know, hot steamy, chocolately cocoa." She said handing him the cup.
"I've never been made cocoa before." He said sipping it.
"Well, there's a first time for everything." Beka said.
"Hey, ya know, this does make me feel a little better." Harper said.
"Really? Then my job is done here. I gotta go pick up some supplies for Dylan. See ya later Harper." She said leaving.
"Later Beka. And thanks."
"Don't mention it."
'Cocoa......' He thought smiling. 'I should have tried this before.'
