The New Commonwealth's corruption is widening the rift between itself and Hunt. Soon, this crew will be on their own. Again. And hunted.
"And the Magog?" Contempt. They’re no problem.
"If that sleazeball could almost get elected..."
Then no effort is needed there.
Kelly chewed her lip, unsure.
"Then what?"
Those who must be destroyed will be. The rest will become servants, and well-rewarded ones. Purring.
The kitten crawled into her lap and curled up. Don’t worry. I love you. His purr was mesmerizing.
"I love you too." She stroked his soft fur contentedly.
