In the not-too-distant future, twelve genetically-enhanced children (transgenics) escaped from a government laboratory - Manticore.

Now, many years later, Max (played by Jessica Alba) is in hiding, trying to live a normal life, and at the same time trying to find her brothers and sisters who escaped with her. She is aided by Logan Cale, and various other friends, mostly at Jam Pony.

In the second season, a new nemesis is introduced - and there seems to be something inherently different about Max to the other transgenics...

Dark Angel ran for two seasons before being cancelled.
