Max is played by Jessica Alba, who has also appeared in Never Been Kissed and Sin City.

Max is one of twelve genetically-enhanced soldiers who escaped Manticore. They all split up, and Max has spent a lot of time trying to find her siblings.

Logan Cale and Max clearly have deep, romantic feelings for each other. However, since Max was infected to a virus specifically targeted to Logan's DNA, they're not able to have any skin-to-skin contact. After accidentally touching, and Logan nearly dying, Max broke up with him.

Max seems to be very different from the rest of the transgenics. Although she has a barcode, and is one of the X-5 series, it's been hinted at that she might be people's only hope against Ames White and his cult.
