She forced herself awake to get a good result, but again she couldn't. "... Don't tell me that he's gone again!", she nearly cried. "Oh, Kenshin! No, no, please not, if he leaves again I'm sure he'll never be back...". Something inside her snapped as she was on her feet and tore out her room. Tears were willing to roll down her cheeks but Kaoru did her best to suppress them as she reached to the door that led onto the garden... and she could see him.

Kenshin was standing in the middle of the summer rain, letting it run through his body,

his magenta tanzen and gray hakama. His long, silky red hair was free, and it sticked to his skin, his clothes, and also to the X-shaped scar in his cheek. His blue-violet eyes were closed as he braced himself

Kenshin opened his eyes to see Kaoru, covering him and herself with an umbrella.

Kaoru loosened her grip on Kenshin, leaning her head on his chest, and stopped.

This wasn't the first time that she was in his arms, but in the middle of a rainy summer night, with a twinge of anguish and fear in her heart, it was... different.

She stopped sobbing, but not only by hearing his voice, confirming that Kenshin was still at home; it was also by the sensation of his soft, warm breath on her neck, sending shrivers through her.

Loki- Kenshin must have a twitch, he says ‘de gozaru’ after every line.

Mal- Better than saying ‘nigga’ I guess.

"DON'T YA CALL ME YAHIKO-CHAAAAAAN!!", and Yahiko tried to hit Kenshin but he avoided his fist playfully and went running, laughing, with Yahiko and Sanosuke chasing after him.

AUTHORESS' NOTES: And... yeah, I re-wrote this story with the help of my friends Shin'ichi and Minako. By the days I wrote it I wasn't the Kenshin expert I am now * LOL *, so I made some mistakes.

Rae- But we AREN’T de gozaru.

This story, obviously, is placed after the battle against Shishi-o and the Juppon Gatana, but before Enishi's Jinchuu (which I haven't read still, I just watched the OAV), following the anime timeline. So, think twice b4 you flame me?

For those curious, I'm actually trying to write a Kaoru-Enishi lemon, but not a PWP and 100% rape one.
