Avicularia versicolor (Antilles Pink Toe)

A tree dwelling Tarantula also known as 'martinique birdeater' their characteristic and temperment is much the same as the Avicularia avicularia apart from they look more colourful.

The top picture was took when it was a small spider, you can see how they change colour as they grow.

  A tree dwelling or 'arboreal' spider they are fast and can also jump up to about 12". A cute looking spider that unlike a ground dwelling spider makes it's home from webbing up leaves or making a tube of web from anything it can tie a web to.

Full growth (legspan) about 4.5 - 5 inches
