These are one of the most common 'beginners' tarantulas around today. They can be quite brown looking as shown in the top picture but after moult time two of my females displayed a totally different array of colours as shown on the bottom picture, unlike the male which stayed brown in appearance and matured yet all three were from the same eggsac. A very hardy spider that doesn't take that much looking after which at times has to endure snow fall in Chile. Full growth (legspan) about 5 - 5.5 inches |
