Now you will see a list, just  like the one you saw in My Computer.
(Don’t worry that your list looks different from mine. I have an extra hard drive.)

In Windows Explorer, the contents
of your computer are set up in the
left hand window to be like a
Table of Contents
.

It is also something like a family tree. In fact it
is called a tree – when you click on the plus (+)
beside a drive or folder, the tree opens up and
the plus turns to a minus (-). You will then see a
list of all the folders on that drive drop down.

Again, clicking on the plus will change it to a minus and expand the tree.

If you want to close up the tree – just click on any
minus and that branch will contract.

When you click on any folder name in the
left window, the contents of that folder
(files and documents) will appear in the
right window.

Conclusion …

Well now you know the secrets of what’s inside that computer box. Try it yourself and become familiar with what is "under the hood".
