Exploring with Explorer …

Windows Explorer can be accessed in several ways
but we will use the Start menu.

  1. Click on the Start button
This is in the bottom left hand corner
of the desktop. When you click, a
    menu will pop up.

  2. Click on Programs
Now another menu will slide out to the
    right.

    3.   Click on Windows Explorer

Since the program names are
          alphabetical, Windows Explorer will be
near the end of the list.

NOTE:  If it is difficult at first to keep control of the mouse and click where you want to, don't lose heart - it will become easy with practice.

Now the Windows Explorer screen has opened you will see two windows –
one on the left and the other alongside it on the right.

At the top of the left hand window, you will see the hard drive listed as [C:]. Yours may say something a little different but you will always see the [C:].

To the left of the [C:] you will see a small minus sign (-). Click on it and it will change to a plus sign.
