OPERATION: POP (Pre-teens Oppose Prohibition)

mini-synopsis: the KND battle Mr. Fizz, a man who raises the soda drinking age to 13.

summary:

the drinking age of soda has been raised to 13, and the KND have been providing contraband root beer to speakeasys for kids to enjoy. while Numbuh Two is delivering a shipment of soda to Lime Ricky's, a popular kids' watering hole, the place is raided by Mr. Fizz, an enforcer of the prohibition. all the kids are captured.

Numbuh Two is being questioned, but refuses to reveal any information regarding the bootleg soda. he seems confident that his team will come and break him out, until Mr. Fizz reveals that they have been captured as well. when Mr. Fizz leaves the room (for a soda, something the guy seems to have an unhealthy dependancy on) the KND break out of the questioning room and end up in the factory. however, it turns out that it's not a soda-making factory, it's a place where children are being bottled until they turn into adults! (how they manage to squeeze the kids into the tiny bottles, i don't know.) Mr. Fizz shows up to recapture and then bottle the KND, utilizing a sort of mechanized barrel-armor to do so. it is powered by soda, of course. the KND battle him and don't do so well, no thanks to Numbuh Two, whose efforts to help only end up sabotaging the other KND until he is the only one left. things look pretty grim for Hoagie until he realizes that Mr. Fizz is standing on the bottling conveyor belt, and rapidly puts the machine in forward and reverse, agitating Mr. Fizz's soda-powered armor until he explodes (in a non-lethal way, mind you.) Numbuh Two then forces him to open every single bottle, freeing all the children, one by one.

bizarro's blathering: it's somewhat unclear by the end whether or not the prohibition is lifted. however, Lime Ricky's is seen again in the episode PRESIDENT, so the bar lives on, if not the soda ban.
to be honest, when i first heard of this episode, i was hoping to see more of the episode dealing with the KND and their bootlegging operation, and then an Untouchables-like conflict with the authorities. but seeing children being bottled is fun too. :P
