OPERATION: PIRATE (Pirates Invade Repository And Treats Extracted) mini-synopsis: Numbuh Five's secret stash of candy is stolen by a crew of candy pirates led by Stickybeard, the "stickiest pirate to ever sail the suburbs". summary: just as Numbuh Five decides to share her secret stash of candy with the rest of the KND, (one wonders what exactly makes her candy so special) the treehouse is attacked by candy pirates, who, as their name suggests, take all of the KND's candy. but when they take Numbuh Five's personal supply, she risks life and limb to rescue it, and is captured and brought aboard their concrete-surfing ship, the Sweet Revenge. however, the candy pirates' leader Stickybeard (appropriately named as he has an unsettling amount of candy stuck in his beard) is impressed with her devotion to her candy, and offers her a position as first mate, which she considers, but ultimately refuses. angered, Stickybeard makes her walk the plank, but the other KND come to the rescue and fight the candy pirates, who, thankfully, are easily distracted by gumballs and large blown bubbles. but Numbuh Five refuses to leave without her candy, and when searching for it, encounters Stickybeard, and they duel. the situation looks bad for Numbuh Five (you folks out there don't know how hard i'm trying to stay away from the puns) until they crash into a playground, where the local kids descend upon the candy-covered Stickybeard and devour him.... lol, okay, not really. quotable quotes: "so long, sourballs!" --Numbuh Five. i'm rather surprised this line made it past the censors at cartoon network.... "what d'you say you be my new first mate? together we'll sail the suburbs, robbing the kids of their candy! and when me teeth are all fallen out, you'll inherit me vast candy and have all the candy for 200 miles! and that's nautical miles too, which i'm fairly certain is more than regular miles. arrr!" --Stickybeard. yeah, i know this quote is on all the sites, but what can i say? it's the best line of this show! bizarro's blathering: as noted in the character bio section, Numbuh Five is smart unless the fate of her candy is concerned. i don't know what's in this candy, but it must be pretty special if she's willing to risk her life for it.... |
