while the undisputed leader of Sector V of the KND, he is not necessarily the most qualified for the job. that title probably belongs to Numbuh Five, being that in more than one instance he is the first to turn tail and/or panic at the sight of trouble (see I-SCREAM, LICE, ZOO, SPACE). he is, however, the most enthusiastic about their missions (see CAMP, POINT, COWGIRL, DATE, COLLEGE, BREIF) and is usually able to make the other KND toe the line when they'd rather be hanging out and having fun. though not always. (see DATE, FUGITIVE).
we find in season 2 that Numbuh One is in fact not the founder or head of the Global KND Organization, and is actually out-ranked by members such as Numbuh 86. (see FUGITIVE)
