Numbuh 1 is the stern yet compassionate leader of the Kids Next Door. With his dignified demeanor, and noticeably English accent, he guides his team with detailed plans to thwart the horrid schemes and machinations of the adults; bent on making children unhappy and caged with unthinkable miseries. Relationships: Numbuh 2: 1 & 2 seem very likable toward each other. 1 recognises 2's gift and allows him to invent what's needed, 1 doesn't look over 2's shoulder or force advice onto him. Numbuh 3: 1 seemed to at first find 3's cheerful temperament annoying but it appears he has come to accept her playful attitude, he lets this work to the team's advantage. Numbuh 4: 1 seems to get along well with the cheeky Aussie. 4 regards 1 as a great leader and usually doesn't question him while 1 sees 4's fiery spirit as something required for the team - despite 4's habit of rushing into things. Numbuh 5: Tension exists with these two. When 1 feels the push of additional trouble onto his shoulders 5 will take over to guide the others. Although their disputes question the hierarchy of the team, past missions have shown that they are indeed developing respect towards each other. Numbuh 2 is the talented engineer of the team, most of the vehicles and weapons you see at the battles against those demonic adults are the works of this awkward butterball. Never without his pilot's goggles he is usually seen navigating the vehicles or armed with one of his custom made weapons; his contribution to the team is clearly outstanding. However, like most engineers, his common sense needs some required maintenance. Despite his gift he can appear eccentric with his obvious love of flying, his temporary bouts of being accident prone and his bizarre attempts at dry, cool superhero wit. When not on a mission Numbuh 2 will spend his time lazing around with the others during their comic book reading or locking himself in his room of the treehouse to design or construct new vehicles and weapons for the aid of his team. Relationships: Numbuh 1: 2 finds 1 as an adequate leader and will obediently follow his orders. 1doesn't interfere with his work, which a more prying leader would probably execute with the odd inventor. Numbuh 3: 2 occasionally frowns at 3's frolickings when she disrupts his work but there are times that even his unmoving devotion to his work can't escape the adorable charm and innocence of Numbuh 3. Numbuh 4: 2 and 4's chummy friendship seems to suggest that they were friends before The Kids Next Door was formed. 4 seems relaxed and less angry when around 2. Numbuh 5: 2 seems to have an identical respect for 5 as he does with 1, he sees her as a sharp and valuable partner. He will follow her rules accordingly without hesitation. Numbuh 3 is a disarmingly happy and likable girl. Although her specialty seems to be unknown her agility and cheerful demeanour around the enemy has labeled her a diversionary tactician. With the enemy immobilised by her happy go lucky attitude and her graceful acrobatics she obliviously causes damage to the foe or a needed distraction for the team to execute an attack. Of course she is too occupied in her happy world of make believe to really see the danger she unmindfully puts herself into. She is quite protective of the many stuffed animals she keeps in her room and has also developed an ability to sniff them out; no toy is safe when she is on the scent. Her cute Japanese accent and baggy green sweatshirt are some of the many reasons the team finds her so pleasant. She certainly adds character to some of the mundane missions. Relationships Numbuh 1: 3 thinks 1 is pretty fun. Who else would have been smart enough to organise all the fun recreation she has had with all of those evil adults? Numbuh 2: 3 finds 2 interesting because of his occasional bouts of eccentric behaviour and the many things that 2 builds for the team. She has taken a liking to Hippy-Hop, a large rabbit like robot she pilots. Numbuh 4: 3 seems to ignore 4's angry attitude and happily accompanies him when its mission time. She has taken a liking to teasing him, which she knows really push the kid's buttons, she seems to see him as just another fun playmate to enjoy. Numbuh 5: Despite radically different personalities 3 and 5 get along very well, 3 knows not to overdo her cheery behaviour when around 5 and the sagacious 5 can't hide how even she likes 3's optimistic spirit. Numbuh 4 is the fighting specialist for the team. Despite being the shortest of the team he doesn't let that dieter him from making every fight a good beat-up. Brash and impulsive he leaps into the action at once to get in a few good whacks, his angry mood swings guarantee some ruthless blows and brutal hits to the adult nemeses who plague The Kids Next Door. Although his indignant fury has wreaked its fair share of havoc, for his blind rage has made obstacles more difficult for the rest of the team as they try to accomplish their goals. Donned in baggy jeans and an orange hoody, along with his eye shielding bowl cut and Australian accent, 4 has proven to be a force to be reckoned with. It has been suggested that he has a crush on the carefree Numbuh 3, they are often paired together when a mission needs to be done and he always seems to keep a watchful eye on her. Relationships Numbuh 1: 4 sees 1 as a fabulous leader and will follow his orders -most of the time; when he thinks that a good beating would suffice besides an organised plan. Numbuh 2: 4 appears to be really good friends with 2. 2 is agreeable toward 4 and allows him to burn up some steam when he becomes antsy. Numbuh 3: 4 may appear cold with 3 but he really watches out for her and feels he has to take care of the adorable girl from unexpected danger. He gets a bit miffed when she teases him; but, of course, won't admit that he has more fond feelings toward her. Numbuh 5: 4 and 5 don't seem to get along much. There are times 4 tries to taunt 5 into getting angry or have her lose her cool; also with her having leader attributes he seems defiant toward her and would only obey her if they both agreed on the same matter at hand. Numbuh 5 is the team's ultra elusive spy. Shifty and practically undetectable, she gets the info that is required to pinpoint the weaknesses of their dangerous adversaries. Despite her cool and sagacious composure she knows when to have fun as well, whether its sharing her fabled candy supply to her team or infiltrating the home of the Delightful Children From Down The Lane for kicks she isn't afraid to show the team that some fun is a necessity in their workforce. Equipped with highly beneficial street smarts her mind has proven to be that of a great leader, which has caused tiffs with Numbuh 1, the rest of the team recognises this and it has brought questions on who the true leader of The Kids Next Door should be. Relationships: Numbuh 1: There is still tension between these two despite the realisations of each others talents. It does show hope that these two can put down their shields and finally work together more harmoniously ( For some fans, perhaps, into a couple.). Numbuh 2: There have been a few (although not really thought of as official by some fans) moments where 2 appears to have some feelings toward 5. 5 is friendly with 2 and is sometimes paired with him on missions when she isn't on her solo spy outings. She appears comfortable with him, despite her relationships with the other two boys on the team, and regards him as a decent teammate. She doesfind his attempts at superhero wit tiring though. Numbuh 3: 5 likes 3 despite the differences between them, she simply sees 3 as an extremely joyful person and accepts 3 for who she is, as long as 3 doesn't get too carried away in her happy world. Numbuh 4: 5 doesn't really like 4's aggressive and loud behaviour. They will usually ignore each other, but, if 4 is agreeable, they work fine together when it comes to the missions. |
