Informed, empowered and enthused parents, students, community members, elected and administrative officials contributing to make Burnsville Eagan Savage (BES) public education the pride of our diverse community.

Our Mission

The mission of the BES Legislative Coalition is to sustain and enhance excellence in BES K-12, Early Childhood and Community Education. The Coalition seeks to accomplish this by:

• Increasing community involvement in the support of BES Public Education and our committee;

• Educating our stakeholders, including Students, Parents, Site Councils, PTOs, Citizens for Excellence in Education (CEE), Alumni, Businesses, Seniors and other members of our diverse community, about legislative and other issues that affect BES public education;

• Enlisting support of our stakeholders in advocacy and communication efforts, and

• Developing mutually beneficial relationships with our elected and administrative officials and assisting them in making informed decisions that impact ISD 191 Public Education. These elected officials include State Representatives and Senators, US Senators and Representatives, City and County Officials and School Board Members. The administrative officials include the City, County, State and Federal Government officials who impact ISD 191 Public Education.
