Ithaca

Fanfiction by Baranduin. Mary Renault and LOTR fanfiction; very good writing. Also has a Mary Renault book cover & dust jacket gallery with quite a lot collected--12 different covers just for The King Must Die, for example.
Basingstoke's Home

Fanfiction by Basingstoke. Many fandoms: Andromeda, Buffy, DC Comics, due South, The Sentinel, Smallville, Star Wars, The X-Files.
Imagin'd Glories

Fanfiction by Gloria Mundi. Classics, LOTR, POTC etc. I absolutely adore all her classics stories.
i will not be afraid of boybands

*Nsync slash by Jae.
Macedon's Taberna, Redux

Star Trek fanfiction by Macedon. DS9 and Voyager. One of the best writers in any fandom, anywhere. His braided novel, Talking Stick/Circle, written with Peg Robinson, is justly famous among Voyager fen.
Maisie's Voyager Fiction

Fanfiction by Maisie. All Voyager, mostly C/P, some P/T, etc. She gives great Tom Paris, whether he's Poor Abused Tom, the Galactic Playboy or anything in between.
Zippos and Safety Pins

Fanfiction by Maya Tawi. Andromeda, Buffy/Angel, Weiß Kreuz, miscellaneous.
Montmorency's LiveJournal

Fanfiction by Montmorency. Just one Hector/Paris Troy WIP so far, but it's very good.
Pseudonihilist's LiveJournal

Fanfiction by Pesudonihilist. Lord of the Rings and great, great Mary Renault fic.
Bob Did It

Fanfiction by Qaddafi. Classics and anime--don't you just love those two fandoms together?

Infinitum

Fanfiction by Rina, Orithain and Angel. Many, many fandoms. I recommended Rina & Orithain's Anita Blake and Merry Gentry stories; they're archived at this site under literary fanfic.

Intimations

Fanfiction by shalott. So many fandoms, so much great fanfic. Especially for Master and Commander and Gladiator. Her stories in those fandoms would make it onto a multi-fandom Top 100 list for me...hey! Now there's an idea...
shrift's fan fiction

Fanfiction by shrift. Buffy, DC Comics, due South, Highlander, Smallville...you get the idea. Good stuff.
Teland

Fanfiction by Te. Buffy, DC Comics, Smallville, etc. I read every DC Comics story she writes, even though I've never read a comic in my life--the closest I've ever come was watching Adam West as Batman.

Ansereg

LOTR fanfiction and essays by Tyellas. Lots of darkfic and darkfic links; many stories are Silmarillion-based. Pretty much all the stories are book-based. Really excellent writing.

Varoneeka's Slash, Mush and More

Star Trek fanfic by Varoneeka. She also hosts fanfic by the Anon Sisters. Mostly P/Q with some K/S.
The Green Room version 3.0

Viridian5 has writes some of the best Andromeda & Weiss Kreuz fanfic anywhere. She writes in a whole bunch of other fandoms too. Really, you should check out her site. And her LiveJournal.

dysFUNctional

Fanfiction by zahra. Buffy, Smallville, Harry Potter, due South, X-Men X2, etc.

fanfiction archives
not in any particular order...
return to top
Library of Moria

An enormous Lord of the Rings slash and rps archive, organized by pairing. Open to everyone, so the quality of the writing can be kind of sketchy, but there are some really good stories archived there.

whee! I'm Naked!

A non-submission Boy Meets Boy archive. Avarice chooses the stories, so they're all excellent. This should be your first stop for BmB fanfic--even Sandra's fic is archived there! (Which brings up an interesting question: can it really be called fanfic if it's written by the comic's own creator?)

The Sailslash Press

Archive for fiction from the Sailslash writing list. Stories are all Age of Sail-based; mostly Horatio Hornblower. The site also has some interesting resources on the links page (The Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue, 1811, for example) and reviews of various Age of Sail novels from Forester's contemporaries.
Quills and Quidditch v2.0

An archive for the Percy/Oliver Writers Support Network. If you love Harry Potter's Percy Weasley and Oliver Wood, this is the archive for you. Be warned, though--the site hasn't been updated since 2002 and the quality of the stories is variable.

The Parapet

A Harry Potter archive for Snape/Lupin fanfic. I seem to remember finding some good stories there, but it doesn't seem to have been updates in a while. Still, it's worth a look around.

The Severus Snape Fuh-Q Fest

A Harry Potter archive for submissions to the Severus Snape Fuh-Q Fest. All the fics are responses to challenges from one of the three waves of the Fest. The stories range from the commonplace to the bizarre, as do the challenges themselves. You can browse the archive by title, author or challenge. The level of writing is quite high on average; perhaps only mature and experienced slash writers were tempted to answer the challenges.

A Little Piece of Gundam Wing

A Duo-centric Gundam Wing archive. Quite a lot of fic organized by pairing and by author; Dacia has collected her favourite GW fic, so the quality is reasonably high. Still being updated as of 2005. Also has recommendations, polls and other neat stuff.

Gundam Wing Addiction

A Gundam Wing archive. A non-submission archive with lots of fiction, organized by author. The site is designed to host all the work of authors who don't have their own sites, giving exposure to authors who might not otheriwse be archived. It also has some neat GW links and resources and advice for writers. Pretty much daily updates.

X-Men: The Movie Fan Fiction Central

An X-Men: The Movie archive. By far the most stories are Logan/Rogue; I don't remember seeing any slash there (but it's been a long time since I really read anything there.) IIRC the quality of the stories was surprisingly high, especially for a non-slash, apparently open archive. Just goes to show that not every decent writer is primarily a slash writer...who knew?

Polyamorous Recommendations

Polyamorous in the sense that Shrift and Nestra aren't faithful to any one fandom or character--they'll read anything and rec anything. Such a good rec site. I have it bookmarked in my toolbar because I go there so often. Infrequently updated, but still definitely up and running.

The Green Room version 3.0

Yes, Viridian5 also has recs. You really should have discovered this already--haven't you been to her site and read all her fic yet? Shame on you. Along with the good fanfic, she also has some great recs from a whole bunch of fandoms. Just scroll down to find her recs page.

Zaen's Quick & easy guide to EXCELLENT *Nslash

Just what the title says. Tons and tons of recs; more than you'll ever find here, especially since I don't read much popslash nowadays...

Minotaur's Sex Tips for Slash Writers

If you write slash, you must read this. If you read slash, you must read this. It's funny as well as educational. Everything you ever wanted to know about the mechanics and culture of male/male sex. And if there's something you want to know that he doesn't talk about, there's even a question and answer section.
The Buffyverse Dialogue Database

Everything that was ever said (or sung) on any episode of Buffy or Angel. Ever. Organised in so many different ways that you're sure to be able to find what you're looking for, even if you can't remember much about it.

dusk til dawn

Such an incredible, amazing site. There's so many different things on it that I don't know where to start. All the Buffy, Angel or Firefly multimedia that you never knew you needed.

The Sunnydale Slayers

Wonderful episode summaries, from Welcome to the Hellmouth to Dirty Girls (for some reason the last few episodes don't seems to have been reviewed.)
The Encyclopedia of Arda

Everything, everyone, everywhere in Tolkien's universe in one handy online encyclopedia. A must-see for Tolkien fans.

The Anita Blake Compendium

Articles on everyone in Anita's world, from Guilty Pleasures through Narcissus in Chains. It has some other cool features as well; every Anita Blake fan should check it out.

Gentry Investigations

Pretty much the Merry Gentry counterpart of the Anita Blake Compendium. Artices on all the characters, grouped by species.

Two Evil Monks Guides

Guides to Horatio Hornblower, Firefly, Mists of Avalon, The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne, and Alias through screencaps. Basically, it's like watching the movies (or shows) in still photos rather than on film. The only one I've looked at is the guide to Horatio Hornblower; the captions on the pictures are very funny and affectionate towards the characters. Even if you've seen all the episodes of HH, watch them again this way--it's fun.
