an archive for recs that I’ve already posted to my LiveJournal,
neatly organized by fandom. Just click on a
fandom to the left to get started.
I admit it, I'm a fandom whore. I'll read anything as long
as the writing is good, even if I've never seen the show/movie
or read the book the story is based on. I don't usually read
deathfics or non-cons, because I tend not to enjoy them. I
prefer happy endings.

I'm moving my site! Already! Because I'm crazy! But seriously, the new host, simplenet.com, is add free and cheap. Anzwers.org is actually pretty good for a free server, but there are a lot of thing that I want to learn to do that it doesn't support. So this site will now be updated here. I'm going to leave the other site up indefinitely, with notices of the change of address.
I'm also changing the look of the site a bit. I'm using SSI to put the same code for the menu in every page, to make it easier to make navigation changes. I had to get rid of the sidebar to make that easier. I also collapsed a lot of smaller fandoms into the miscellaneous page--it just didn't make sense for something like Big Wolf On Campus to have its own page, when as far as I know that fandom has only two good authors in the whole world.
Besides adding all those recs, I've also put some new recs up:
3 new Sandman recs (my newest fandom!) on the miscellaneous page.
1 new Faculty rec on the miscellaneous page.
4 new Weiß Kreuz recs.
I've got a lot of tests coming up, so I don't know how much time I'll have to read, much less rec, new fic. I'm hoping to get into a schedule of updating at least once a week--any longer and I'll forget the fics I want to rec. We'll see how it goes.

Well, I've been working on getting some more recs done. I'd forgotten how many favourite stories I had--I'm rediscovering fics that I haven't read in quite a while. It's a lot of fun.
I've added:
12 new Buffy/Angel recs--there are some awfully good fics in the bunch.
3 Big Wolf On Campus recs.
11 due South recs.
1 new Harry Potter rec.
1 new Horatio Hornblower rec.
1 new Miscellaneous rec for ER: Malucci/Romano slash. No, really.
2 new popslash.
6 Smallville recs.
3 Hercules recs to the Classics page.
I've reached my goal! Four days early! I now have at least one rec up in every fandom; most have a lot more.
Now I just have to get that about page done...
...and it's done!
I can now officially say that my site is up and running. Yay me.

I added a whole bunch of new recs:

4 DC Comics recs to the miscellaneous section.
1 Battlestar Galactica and 1 Hardy Boys rec to miscellaneous.
3 Gundam Wing recs.
8 Star Trek fics--Voyager, TNG and DS9.
3 LOTR stories.
5 Digimon stories.
There are still a bunch of non-rec things I have to do, such as make banners for the site and put something into my about page. Ah well--it'll get done eventually. I'd like to aim to have recs up for every fandom by the 16th, because I'll be going away to visit family outside the city and my aunt and uncle don't have an internet connection. It'll be nice to get away from the lure of my computer for a while. I love going to visit my aunt--her house is so calm and orderly and peaceful.

I added a ton of stuff to the links section:
a new format, dividing the page into sections, to make it easier to find the links you're looking for.
links to the websites of every author I've rec'd so far who has their own site, listed alphabetically by author's name. If you like a story I recommend, you'll be able to find their site on my links page.
links to every fanfiction archive that I have bookmarked. Most of them I haven't visited in a while because I've stopped visiting archives as much--nowadays I tend to find new fic based on recs from sites I trust. But once in a while I find a good archive, especially when I start reading a new fandom seriously.
links to all the really amazing fansites and fanfic resources I've found over the years; one is general, but the others are fandom-specific ones for Buffy/Angel, LOTR, Anita Blake, Merry Gentry and Horatio Hornblower.
I also finished adding banners to all the pages. Some of them are complete crap, but they'll work as placeholders until I can get something better. It's really hard to find pictures wide enough for my pages--753 pixels.
Next on my agenda:
finish the 'about' page.
make a couple of banners to link to me. Maybe not for a while, though--I need a break from doing anything graphics-related on my laptop because it gives me a headache and serious eyestrain. After creating banners for a few hours my eyes didn't want to focus anymore--it was the oddest sensation.
add more recs--I have a whole list of fics I want to rec next. And put up summaries for the classics recs that are already there, after I go back and read them again.
