"Take that, killer mummies!"

"And...jump!"

"Die die die die! And die again!"

"No, Lara, no no no--argh..."

"Duo, why the hell are you making so much noise?"

Duo looked up at Heero, who was leaning into their living room around a corner. "Oh, hi, Heero! Just playing a little Tomb Raider!"

Heero narrowed his eyes at the computer screen as he came closer. "What?"

Duo scooted on his seat so Heero could clearly watch his lover maneuver a digital character through a treacherous, half-decayed Peruvian tomb, dual magnums firing at jaguars and leaping over trap doors that appeared without warning. A tall creature swathed in golden ornaments and as decayed as the tomb itself suddenly lunged out at the screen, knocking Duo's digital character across the room.

"Argh, no, get up get up!" Duo cried, startling Heero.

Too late--rats climbed over the character, spraying blood as they bit in.

"Damn, he always gets me..." Duo sighed, backing away from the keyboard.

"This is a video game?" Heero asked.

"Yeah, Tomb Raider, haven't you heard of it?" Duo sighed when Heero shook his head. "Geez, it's only one of the most popular games ever made. Well, actually, this is number...um...thirty, I think."

"And what do you do?"

Duo, ecstatic that Heero was actually taking an interest, grinned and started a new game. "This is Lara Croft, she's the tomb raider. You go through different levels of the game searching for artifacts that will help her stop the fifth age of the Mayan calendar from wiping out modern civilization."

Heero raised an eyebrow but didn't comment on the plot. Instead, he looked carefully at the main character. Hmm...with a little work, I could make this game much better...

"Here, try it!" Duo offered, scooting a bit farther in the seat. His grin grew larger as Heero sat beside him, his warm body pressing against his. Duo put his arms around Heero's waist and lay his head on his shoulder as he watched Heero navigate through the first level of the tomb.

"Wow, you're pretty good," Duo whispered. "Oh, there's a secret area in the corner here. You have to jump forward onto the first platform, jump backwards to the second, jump sideways to the left to the third, and then jump forward again, reaching out to grab the ledge and haul yourself up to the top for the medicine kit."

Heero looked at him as if he was insane. "All that work for a medicine kit?"

"Hey, with those Peruvian mummies, you need 'em." Duo glanced at the clock on the wall and gasped. "Heero, it's almost seven! We've gotta get to the theater soon or we'll miss the play!"

I would roll my eyes, but that would hurt his feelings, Heero sighed to himself. Crazy baka. "All right, go get ready. I'll turn this off."

Duo gave Heero a quick kiss on the cheek before dashing off to their bedroom, not noticing how Heero tucked the CD away in a secret spot in the desk.

Later that night, Heero lay in bed with Duo snuggled up against his side, one arm flung over Heero's chest and Duo's hair flowing freely across the mattress. Heero looked over at Duo and smiled, absent-mindedly playing with the soft hair before he remembered he had something to do. Making sure he didn't wake his lover up, Heero gently eased out of the bed and slipped on a pair of boxers before heading to the computer.

As he flipped it on, Heero pulled out Duo's CD and set it into place. Minutes later, he dug into the CD's files and started to work with the main programming.

It was three hours after that that he finally finished. He put everything away, turned the computer back off, and slipped back into bed with Duo.

"Hey, what the--!"

Heero's eyes opened without his permission, but he still forced himself to sit up and get out of bed. He glared at the alarm clock and groaned. 11:50 a.m. I can't believe I slept in, he sighed. Not bothering to dress and content with just the boxers, he joined Duo at the computer and leaned over him, putting his arms around him.

"Like it?" he said quietly. "I made a few changes."

Duo gazed in surprise at the new choice presented to him. Now there were two different characters he could play, one with a long braid and a scythe dressed in black, and another in a green tank top and spandex. "How did you do this?"

Heero smirked. "Just a few changes in the program. I already had the body scans on file."

Duo predictably chose to play with the remarkably life-like Heero, easily taking the character through the first level with the small arsenal of handguns and explosives. "Cool..." He shook his head back, letting his unbraided hair fall nearly to the floor. "It's like it's really you in there. Now I can throw a bomb down the hall and take out that mummy!" He smiled up at his lover, a mischievous gleam in his eye. "Yes, Heero, I like this."

"Care to prove that?" Heero asked, stroking the long hair that he felt "belonged" to him.

"Sure," Duo turned and reached up so Heero could pull him into his arms, and he laughed happily as he was carried to the bedroom again. "I love raiding the bed with you."
