Avatar:The Last Airbender
The word "Avatar" meant "The Divine Medium who has descended upon the mortal world"
in Hindu mythology. The show draws inspiration from Asian Culture, mainly Chinese.
The concept of there being Earth, Fire, Water and Air Elements in the World,
determining the Dalai Lama through the toys he selects as a child and the real-life
martial art stances and weapons of the characters drawn from Classic Chinese Swordfighting Novels [Wuxia
Xiao Shuo] are just some examples.
The story was created by Micheal Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. It is drawn
in style of Japan Anime films. It can be considered a first in Nickolodeon, with
its depth of story, excellent animation and character design.
The story is set in a world of 4 Countries: Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, Water Tribe and Air Nomads. In
each country, there is a special group of people called Benders, who can wield their
native element, via magic and martial arts. The Avatar
maintains balance between the nations of the world for he can use all 4 elements.
The story begins when Aang, the last surviving Airbender and also the Avatar, awakens to a war-torn
world that is falling to the Fire Nation. Together with his Water Tribe friends Katara and Sokka,
Aang must defeat The Fire Nation and put an end to the century-old war.
In the First Season, Book:One Water, Aang must travel to the North Pole to seek
great Waterbenders to teach him Waterbending. The Second Season, Book:Two Earth, is
of course, going to be about Earthbending and is going to be due early 2006. The subsequent
Season is expected to be about Fire, though it is unsure whether there is the Book Air,
since Air is Aang's native element.

This site originated from a small little blog on blogspot.com, part of a Cartoon
Reviews Blog on November 14, 2005. It started out as a tiny little review for
Avatar:The Last Airbender, Book:Water, Episode 1. But that review grew longer and longer,
till at last, it was almost a replica of the entire episode. Later, it moved over to its
own space on ebloggy.com, but still remained as
a small blog. That lasted for a few days before it was moved over to Anzwers.org
and changed its name to Avatar:The Airbender Novel.

About the WebMaster
Jun Hui first got into Web Design when he was 10 and playing Neopets. He would like to thank
Neopets for making him learn HTML to make Neoshops, but he thinks he's a bit too
old now to play Neopets. He attempted to proceed making sites of all sorts, like
a Pokemon Fansite, a HTML text game and a Goldfish Hobbyist
site, but failed horribly. At 12 he learnt some Flash animation at school. That spurred
him on to delve into the world of Flash, which promised exciting prospects like Game
Design and Animation. At 13, Jun Hui created his first 2 Flash Games that were simple
dodge-em games. They are now lost in time. At 14, he started making a new game,
Arching the Fly, now renamed Aqua Archer, about an Archer shooting at flies. He
promised himself to finish it in a year, but now, 2 years later, it has undergone
4 major revamps and redesign and still not finished. Jun Hui juggles School, Web
Design, his social life and learning new technology on a daily basis. Right
now he knows XHTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, XML and Actionscript. He's
trying to learn C#, Java and C++, but so far, he hasn't finished any yet. He
plans to finish learning them some day soon. And he hasn't forget about Aqua
Archer too.

It needs some visitors. And some updates too.
