Mandurah and The Peel Region: The Peel region in Western Australia lies one hour south of Perth and encompasses a number of country towns, including Mandurah, which is within easy reach of the capital of Western Australia. It is home to the Peel Inlet, and is a popular fishing and boating destination. Located on the coast, Mandurah is a great spot for fishing, swimming and beach activities, and a must if you enjoy crab fishing. It has a real tourist feel to it, and is a popular choice for a weekend getaway. You can also travel inland and discover some unique Western Australian jarrah forest areas, including the Bibbulmun track. Peel is perfect for a camping trip, either roughing it or in comfort at one of the local accommodations, without the long travel time to get there.
