Whale Watching and The Great Southern: For those who have more time to explore, you may want to delve into the Great Southern region of Western Australia. This area is definitely off the beaten track and is home to vast ancient Karri forest areas, amazing unspoilt wilderness and southern coastline ideal for whale watching as the whales come for breeding along the coast of Western Australia. You will also find some amazing rock formations, such as the gap in Albany.

This region is also home to the Stirling Ranges, which is the only place in Western Australia which ever gets snow. At certain times of the year, mother nature also puts on some spectacular wildflower displays which make the area come to life with brilliant colour.
