In the Aftermath
Finally, the battle was over. Everyone in Taejon was in relief. The city was still in ruins, but with the help of the government and benign foreign forces that survived the Armageddon planned upon re-building the city as well as many others touched by the evil being. Everyone was feeling better.
However, with Yuma, she felt slightly different.
“Samael?” Yuma sighed. She, her dad, her dogs and the friend she made were finally at where her house and garden once stood. Yuma ran out of the can and started to cry in the spot where the family’s garden used to be. “No, Samael!”
“What’s wrong dear?” Jun asked his daughter. “You still have me, your friend, your dogs. At least not all is lost.”
“Yeah, I know, but……” Yuma whimpered. Jun helped her up onto her feet again as they started to search the remains of their home that was soon scheduled for being rebuilt. In the rubble, Yuma was surprised to see what she has found.
“My artwork. It has not been destroyed, not even in a situation like this.” She cried out in relief, but she was still teary eyed. “I guess he remembers.”
“Hey, Yuma, Jun, look what I found!” Yuma’s friend shouts out. As Yuma and her dogs ran up to her friend, she found the pearly talisman have been left there. Now it looked like the black Yin and Yang symbol and shone with radiant light.
“So, he hasn’t forgotten.” Yuma said to herself.
“Yuma….” A voice came from the emblem. “Yuma, this is Gumari, the lord of the afterworld. I am here to give you this message that Samael and Jierra are okay. They are healing within this sacred lotus blossom I have here. They both told me to give you a clone of the same emblem. If you need anything from them or any divine being, use the emblem. It has the same power as the one here.”
“Okay, I will.” Yuma told Gumari.
“Oh and Yuma…..”
“Yes sir?” Yuma asks.
“I wish Song Yeong, the reincarnation of Prince Shafan, the best of luck.”
“Song Yeong?” Yuma says, smiling.
“Yes. I was a prince at one point in my life.” Song Yeong said, laughing. Yuma and Jun eventually joined in on the laughter, and finally were hopeful for things to come.
After the light and warmth of his magick started to fade, Gumari now started to slowly, yet surely open his eyes. As Gumari’s eyes opened up, he saw the petals from the lotus fall gracefully to the floor where he was at. As the petals landed to the floor like feathers falling from a bird, he saw Samael and Jierra open rise from the lotus flower, opening their eyes. Both of their bodies were cured and in shape once more. It was like their injuries never happened.
“Wha….what happened?” Samael asks, rubbing his eyes.
“Samael, Jierra, you are now alive and well.” Gumari smiled. “You finally defeated the cruel god Maniyu successfully. His soul and remains were purged of all evil and became the soil for where he was defeated.”
“Really?” Jierra asks, feeling happy to hear all of this.
“Yes, but we never know who or what was behind his motives.” Gumari told the couple. “Just be glad he was destroyed and the evil aura has became dormant.
“Does that mean……”
“Yes, Samael, you and Jierra shall be together, forever.”
When two lovers of the Yin (Dark) element and Yang (Holy) element fall in love, balance and harmony shall take place once more and the power of purging evil and bringing love were become stronger.
