Yuma Sah
As Samael awakens, he notices that he was on an isolated island of a different world. What was the meaning of this? Where was he? And where was Maniyu?
"What is the meaning of this." Samael wonders to himself. As he gets himself up off the ground, Samael notices a stone moai-like statue in front of him. One of its eyes started to glow bright red and a strange, yet awfully familiar voice started to come out.
"Samael, Samael, this is Jierra. It looks like we are on the world of Gaea (Earth). Please be careful in this world. There is turmoil and uncertainty in this world, please try to find a place far from here, find a place that is safe."
"What about Maniyu.....?" Samael whispers.
"I am trying to use alot of my powers to make sure he will be stable. I hope this works out, this is a lot more challenging than it sounds, but I shall try my hardest that Maniyu does not awaken. My body maybe inside of him, but my soul can travel anywhere."
"Very well." Samael replies, smiling. "I am off then."
With his talisman close to him, Samael flies off from the island. As he looks down from above, he notices that the island was in the Pacific Ocean, and that he was heading in the direction of East Asia. As he tried to fly a little lower, the talisman slips from his belt once more, landing in and around a penninsula shaped like a teardrop. "Shit! Not again, and in what appears to be a well populated area too. Aw well, I guess I know what to do then....."
So Samael takes on his small black dragon form and flutters down to the land, taking refuge in some tree bushes so he won't be noticed.
Meanwhile, on land, in Taejon, Korea, College student Yuma Sah was trying to sketch some pictures outside. As she was sketching, an object landed on her head.
"Ouch! What dumb ass is throwing their trash around now?" She mutters to herself in frustration. As she looks around, she spots a beautiful shell sculpture of a woman's loving face instead of litter. "Ha ha, now who would throw away something as valuable as this?"
So she decided to make a few sketches of this precious object. Yuma was never so happy or impressed in her life. However, Samael was dismayed at this whole situation. "Oh dear, it looks like the girl doesn't want to even take her eyes off the sacred talisman, if not let go of it. Somehow, there must be a way to convince her without the girl getting all upset."
"Class is out!" the school professor announces to the outdoor drawing class. So Yuma started to pack up all of her belongings. However, there was just that thing with the girl and the sacred talisman. "Man, I should put in a safe place here. I cannot wait to show papa!"
As Yuma started off to the city bus stop, Samael in small dragon form flew out of the bushes, trying to get a look at Yuma. But the girl noticed him already and was stunned. "Is that what I think it is?"
So Yuma started to pull out a book on the unknown, her jaw dropped. "Oh my god, I guess I am not seeing things. It is........"
As Yuma was watching the small dragon fly around, her bus came by and she went all the way to the back, so she could look out the back windows and watch Samael in awe. But as she notices the bus stopping and going, Yuma noticed the small dragon was still there. It was like the dragon did not want to take his eyes off of her as much as she watched him.
"I wonder what the dragon is trying to tell me?" Yuma thought. "It sure does look familiar......"
As the bus came to a stop, she noticed it was near home, so Yuma decided to get off. As she did, the small dragon flew off. So Yuma pulls out the pearly talisman from her backpack and started to dash all the way home, with a look of excitement on her face. To greet her when she came home, was her father, Jun Sah, out in the garden and their two pug dogs, Seun and Yoma. "Hey Yuma, how was your day?"
"Fine. Here, look what I found." Yuma pulls out the talisman and shows it to her father. Jun Sah was impressed at what his daughter has shown him.
"Yuma, are you sure you just found that on campus grounds?"
"Yep papa. I dunno who was foolish to throw a mother-of-pearl sculpture away. Man, look at the detail."
"I shall say. Looks like a lot of work has been put into that sculpture." Jun Saw observes. "It would be just foolish to throw it away like that."
"I know what you mean." Yuma replies, heading back to the house, the dogs following her. "I'm gonna draw in my room for a while."
"Okay Yuma dear."
From the orchards nearby Yuma's house and garden, Samael was watching the whole situation. "God damn, that girl sure does love that talisman. I just need to talk to her about its purpose and maybe she will understand."
So Samael flies up to the second floor, to check up on what the young woman was doing. Yuma was just painting many pictures, but not just about anything, but of worlds that looked familiar to the Akuma himself. She painted landscapes of worlds not known to many humans. But the one that stood out the most was the nude painting of a white haired Tianshi.
“Jierra?” Samael wonders to himself as he watched the young woman paint. “How does this girl know of these things? I have to speak to her, but without startling her.”
So as Yuma paints on, Samael flies up to her room. But it was not undetected though, since Yuma’s dogs started to growl and let out barks. “What is it guys?”
As the young woman turns around, Samael greets her in his original form, trying to calm down her dogs. “Are you……?”
“Don’t worry young lady. I am not going to hurt you or loved ones. I am just curious about something.”
“First off who may you be. I am Yuma and my dogs are Seun and Yoma.”
“Well then, I am Samael. And I have something to ask you.”
“Huh? About what?” Yuma asks, holding the pearly talisman in her arms. “Would you like this? I just found it on campus and I thought someone carelessly threw it away.”
“Yuma.” Samael was surprised at what Yuma just suggested. “You really want to.”
“I don’t mind. I know you might like it. I am just trying to be nice.” Yuma said, smiling. “Don’t you think it is pretty?”
“Yes, it is.” Samael replies, smiling back to her. “But I needed to tell you something about this sculpture.”
Yuma cleans up her painting supplies and puts food in the dogs’ dishes. “Okay, I am listening.”
“Okay.” Samael starts off. “This sculpture, it is not just an average sculpture. It is really a sacred talisman that once belonged to the netherworld. A friend of mine once had the other piece to this talisman…..”
“Really, Samael? Where is this friend?”
“She is far away now. I just hope I see her and hold her once more……”
Yuma started to feel pity. “I hope you see her again. Sorry for taking that talisman of yours.”
“It’s okay Yuma, you didn’t know.” Samael then started to look through all of Yuma’s paintings and drawings. “These pictures…….. they seem so familiar…….”
Yuma was silent. Suddenly, memories of past lives started to flow through her head like a turbulent river.
