“What is the meaning of this Samael?” A cruel and cold sounding voice shouted. “Come to me now!”
Samael turned his head and before he knew it, he was face to face with Maniyu, the ‘King of Terror’ himself. “Why should I come to you?”
Maniyu gave Samael a cold look. “Oh, so you don’t listen, huh? That is too bad! Ha ha ha ha ha!”
And with a sweep of his giant arms, Maniyu took Jierra away from Samael. “Samael! HELP!”
“I am coming Jierra!” Samael cried out, brandishing an axe that materialized from his own two hands. “Put her down now you bastard.”
With that, Samael lifted his axe, set fire to it, and aimed it right at the giant monster’s forehead. The worst that happened was black blood that came oozing out. This made Maniyu very angry. “All right, you want to play tough?”
So, with a sweep of his fists, he made the ground shake and sent shockwaves up from the earth, sending Samael flying out of control. He thought the berserk conditions that he was in were to never stop and he would fly all the way back to the Netherworld.
“This is the end!” Samael thought to himself in despair, when suddenly, he came into contact with a huge tree trunk. He banged into the trunk and came whirling down onto the ground. “Shit, why does this have to happen to me?”
Seemed like nothing went right for the poor Akuma. He was close to being with his loved one, and now, she is far away from him again. And worst off, he accidentally let go of the talisman she gave him! “NO! NOT AGAIN!”
So he sets off to looks for his beloved talisman. But there was one problem though. Samael was exhausted, battered and his wings were quite sore from knocking into the tree trunk. So as he got ready to search for the talisman Jierra gave him, he started to pass out in what he considered to be in the middle of some old ruins.
In deep thought, he remembered this place. A great war took place in this city many ages ago, one that was quite similar to the great war of the Netherworld. In that life many millennia’s ago , Samael was not an Akuma, but one of the mystic people of the planet. And he battled a fearsome monster that consumed souls and caused mass destruction.
Samael in that life was a mighty soldier that served the mightiest Emperor of that land. The soldier was given an unknown package that he found to the Emperor, so he could inspect it for himself. But alas, as the poor Emperor opened this mysterious package, a strange and fearsome creature came popping out of the package and with its razor sharp stinger, pierced his skull and sucked all the blood out of his body, leaving the Emperor dead. The soldier decided to take revenge on whomever or whatever sent him this package.
So the soldier set off on his giant crane and searched for this mysterious thing or person. But as he did though, when in flight, a piece of shapnel flew right at them, provoking the bird and started to land down awkwardly.
"Please, no! Don't do this!" the soldier screams out as he lands. As he was thrown from the wounded crane, he saw one of the most spectacular battles take place. Some people of his own kingdom, as well as their allies, were fighting a strange, semi-humanoid monster. It was very violent and destructive, wreaking havoc in its wake.
"Oh gods, we may not win this battle!" screeches out one soldier, trying to shoot down the behemoth creature. "Look at him!"
" Oh bull shit! The Marduk kingdom has never lost a battle!" Another warrior retorted, trying to help out with summoning mantra of mass destruction. The creature still continues onwards, laughing maniacally and ramming down every possible booby-trap that was in the way. Now, it was up to this soldier to fight the creature head on.
But as the creature saw the soldier, all he did was laugh. "Don't make me laugh little guy! One day, I shall own you."
The soldier kept struggling in the battle, occasionally stumbling over a dead body. But he still remained confident and ambitious. "Wanna bet?"
The two were now head on. The soldier with his magical and fighting abillities and weapons and the creature with supernatural strength. He pulls out his beloved axe he called "Apsu" and started to fight away like a berserker. He slashed at the beast with all his might, used every mantra he knew and no matter how hard he fought and how hard he was hit, he would still continue on.
"Are you ever to give up little man?" The creature guffawed, smiling his wicked grin.
"Never! I will kill you!" As the soldier charged at the monster, the creature kept toying with him by materializing and de-materializing from one place to another. This started to enrage the Soldier.
"You are trully pathetic little man!" The creature taunted. The soldier was getting very frustrated.
"Just show yourself, okay?" As the slightly weakened soldier pulled out the 'Apsu' Axe again, he felt a deep slashing at his throat. Blood started to come out his neck and mouth. The creature started to laugh and stand over the dying soldier.
"I am Maniyu, the King of Terror. Remember that name." With those words, Maniyu lifted the solder's dead body up and threw onto a pile of decaying dead bodies. The same creatures that killed the emperor sucked out all of the meat and blood from the soldier's body, leaving the expression of terror on his face more than obvious.
And with that, Samael awakens. "Lord, I won't let that happen to me again."
So Samael decided to leave the ruins and search for the talisman that Jierra gave him. But little did he know that there is alot in store for him than he thought.
